San Francisco Bay Area resident since 2004. Working in Tech for over a decade. (I was rocking the fleece vest at work way back in 2006 before it became de rigueur among tech execs)
Wonderstruck by the night sky and ever seeking out clear dark skies far from urban light pollution. I like taking pictures of deep space objects and am learning and hopefully improving with each image
Astronomy and Astrophotography provide an ideal intersection of my interests in Science (Physics), Space, Math and the Outdoors

Sports: FC Barcelona fan, because more important than winning, is to play the beautiful game beautifully.
Opinions and Preferences
- Happiness is a state of mind. It can only be found within oneself….maybe temporarily with a good book or music or under the stars
- The only worthy human conquest is that of the mind—one’s own.
- Music: ideally is a spiritual experience, enabling a connection beyond self. Improvisatory music performed by artists that have dedicated a lifetime of pursuit and perfection of their art, embody this best.
- Messi is the best soccer player today and has been for a long time now—and in all likelihood the greatest ever to have graced the game. This is a subjective opinion but an informed one
- It’s not really dessert if it doesn’t have chocolate
